About RetireCalcs
RetireCalcs is a free collection of retirement planning calculators that run entirely in your browser. There is no account to create and nothing to install — enter your numbers, read the result, and close the tab. Every calculation happens on your own device, so the salary, balances, and ages you type are never uploaded to us.
What you can work out here
We cover the questions people actually ask when planning for retirement: how much a 401(k) could grow with regular contributions and compounding, how far an employer 401(k) match goes if you contribute enough to capture all of it, and how a Traditional IRA compares with a Roth IRA once you account for tax treatment today versus in retirement. You can also project your total retirement savings, estimate required minimum distributions (RMDs) once they begin, get a rough Social Security benefit estimate, find your FIRE number for early retirement, and stress-test a safe withdrawal rate so your money is more likely to last.
How the numbers are produced
Each tool uses standard, widely published financial formulas — future value of a series for contribution growth, present/future value for withdrawal planning, and IRS life expectancy factors for RMDs. Results are estimates for educational planning only. They depend on assumptions you choose, such as expected return and inflation, and real outcomes vary with market sequence, taxes, healthcare costs, and how long you live. Contribution caps, catch-up limits, RMD ages, and Social Security figures change from year to year, so always verify the current-year IRS and SSA limits before you act. RetireCalcs does not provide personalized financial, investment, or tax advice; for decisions about your own situation, consult a licensed financial advisor or tax professional.
